If you are tired of the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it’s time to book some time off work and start planning for a holiday. If you want to have a completely relaxing holiday and get back to nature in the most refreshing ways possible, camping holidays Spain are definitely worth considering! Spain is such a diverse country that there are numerous options available to campers. Some of my favourites are listed below.
Andalucía
Located in the south of Spain, Andalucía is my favourite place to take camping holidays in Spain. The region is home to the highest mountain in Spain which is definitely worth climbing if you have the energy. If you would rather take it easy, there are a number of national parks to explore as well as some Moorish architecture in Granada. Andalucía is also full of campsites so travelling from one location to another is always an option if you want to explore more than one area on your holidays in Spain.
Catalonia
Catalonia is the region that is known for its beautiful architecture and it’s hardly surprising seeing as it encompasses the cities of Barcelona, Girona and Figueres. Although you might think Barcelona is unlikely to be a great spot for camping, it has over 25 campsites and it is definitely the best place to visit if you are into history and culture… and the best part is it’s a lot cheaper than staying in a hotel for your holidays Spain.
Galicia
Galicia borders Portugal so you are sure to experience something exotic if you choose to go camping here on your holidays in Spain. Considered to be “the first country in Europe” there are dozens of beautiful campsites in the region as well as a few cities to check out during your stay. This is the place to go if you want to relax in beautiful scenery and take in all that nature has to offer.
